Merit Badge University (MBU)
About Troop 44’s MBU:
An innovative event crafted by Troop 44 Leaders, Committee Members, & Parents, offering Scouts the chance to earn Merit Badges in a structured classroom environment. Our dedicated merit badge counselors, registered with BSA, are eager to teach and guide Scouts through their badge requirements in small, focused classes.
Dates and Time: Feb. 10, 2024 from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
Cost: $20 (Troop 44) / $25 (Other Troops)
Open to All Scouts: Not in Troop 44? No problem! Contact Erika (call or text) 708-560-4973 for a Non-Troop 44 Scout MBU Registration Form.
How to Register
- Review the MBU Schedule of Classes. Eagle-required merit badges are highlighted in bold.
- Check the MBU Prerequisites for any age restrictions or additional requirements.
- Print & fill out the MBU Registration Form for Scouts.

What to Bring
Scouts should wear their Class A uniform and bring their scout book, paper, pen/pencil, and copies of their Merit Badge Workbooks/Worksheets with completed prerequisites.

These can be found at http://usscouts.org/mb/worksheets/list.asp. They are essential for preparation and documentation of merit badge requirements.
Drop Off/Pick Up Details
- Location: Peace Lutheran Church, 1900 E Lincoln Hwy, New Lenox, IL 60451
- Drop Off: 7:30-7:45 AM at the East side door (behind the main entrance).
- Pick Up: 4:30 PM.
